Back at it!!!

At the end of 2023 with all the setbacks that year, the money dumped to get things done and parts gone missing (and recovered)… I had to take a break. I shouldn’t have taken as long as I have, but every time I was planning to go to LA (I live in the bay area – 5hr drive), something always came up.

There were a couple of issues that should have been done properly when those parts were out and I had to get those taken cared of first. That redundancy of fixing these mistakes sucked and a more personal issue revealed itself.

That’s over and done with. Now I’m just looking over the notes/texts with some of the issues and go from there.

After multiple trips to Japan and Canada, weekend commitments to my work and kids’ extracurricular activities, I was able to go down and see Project Leopard again.

It reinvigorated and ignited that motivation again. I installed a few parts, reconnected a few connections and cleaned up the wiring and hoses a bit. I took a lot of pictures to clean up the engine bay and where to have things installed.

I was taking advice from someone prior (valued too), but I don’t want to depend on someone that heavy again as things have been left unfinished.

ANOTHER LESSON LEARNED

There are a lot of things I need to do to complete the car, but I will get the car tuned soon. Parts went missing and were recovered, so I need to install them.

I do want to buy a fuel wiring kit just to clean up everything and I need to get some stuff wired up.

To Do list

After getting the water inlet welded (this was one of the pieces that had to be redone due to it being done incorrectly), I need to get a water temp sensor here.

I plan to use Oka-chan’s water temp gauge, which I will have to figure out as well.

I also need to do the 02. I have an NTK wideband O2 system, this was also one of the parts that went missing and recovered later.

This is the Wiring Specialties harness and 02 pigtail. There are 3 wires, brown, white and black.

The NTK system is it’s own standalone, but this will need to be wired in. I will have to go into my notes again and see where it was left off.
