Getting ready for JCCS 2023 – Suspension issues and visit to Total Shop Prestige

Alright, so I decided to use Project Leopard’s old coilovers from 2009. They are the orginal BC Racing BR series. Malik and Caleb helped toss those on last year, last minute to slam my car. Ever since then, I’ve slacked off (yes, a whole year since I was dealing with Project Leopard’s issues). **It’s good to note that I was suppose to enter Project Leopard, unfortunately, sakura garbage failed to do a basic paint job (anyone in AZ, don’t deal with the aformentioned business). So my Blue M30 was my back up.

The toe was dangerously off and my buddy Malik came over to help a bit with it. Also let me use his coilover wrenches (as my set for Riaction coilovers didn’t work). We only got so far as the coilovers were seized up.

Yusef told me the seats are in and they are in Stockton. I so happen to be talking to Lamar of Total Shop Prestige about my seized coilovers and he said to bring em out. Since these 2 coincided.

So after I loaded my seats up in the van, I brought my 2 rear coilovers and we got them unstuck. Just gunk that’s been in there for years.

After I cleaning them up and taking the Lamar’s advice (there are holes in the bottom mount for some reason, but cover those with tape and use plumber’s tape on the threads that are exposed), I also noticed a few of the the threads were messed up on one, so I brought out my old machine shop micro files and polishing stones and cleaned them up a bit.

After that, the collars turn smoothly!!!

After adjusting a bit, I took it for alignment and after that, I drove down to LA the next day.
