Heads and tails part 8: License plate bracket

Since I got the M30, I tried to take off the front mounting plate for the license plate. One of the nuts was stripped from behind.

So this was additional motivation to get the bumper off as well.

While I like the symmetry of the mounting plate being in the middle, I wanted a cleaner look.

I ordered a bracket from a vendor on ebay. Pretty simple design. It was meant for US plates, as the holes were perfect. But for Japanese plates mounting holes are wider, so I had to drill out an additional hole.

After playing with different locations, I decided to mount it under the left turn signal as it kept the license plate location to the side.

I had to test it out with my Leopard plate collection to see how it all looks.

I like it!
