Plateau and Brighton Parks, Vancouver BC

I love checking out Parks. Plateau Park Slidey Slides is between a fairground and soccer fields.
They have a parkour section too, but climbing structures and 2 very cool slides with that rubberized ground.

Brighton Park is a short walk towards the water, there is a tunnel that will lead you to the park by the water.

Very spacious area and a few structures for kids. Not to mention a pool for swimming and the beach of course.

Vancouver Aquarium 2015

It was a heavily rainy day in December 2015. I wanted to do something indoors and I realized I should check this out. This is located in Stanley Park.

The interesting thing about Aquariums is that they show regional species. I took the family there and spend a few hours looking at animals.

My Iphone was horrible with pictures since it was dark.. so here is the video.

Lynn Canyon, North Vancouver 2015

While everyone knows Capilano Suspension bridge, there is another suspension bridge in North Vancouver. It is located in Lynn Canyon.

The bridge isn’t as famous or as wide as Capilano, but it gets your across to see some amazing scenery.

After crossing the bridge, you’ll go on some trails.

This will go along the water. Go upstream a bit and you will find a watering hole that people love to jump in during the summer.. and yes, it is clear fresh water!!!

Later you will come up to some pretty steep steps. It goes around, but we decided to just head back after that.

Jericho Beach, Vancouver BC 2015

Another great beach in Vancouver BC. Not far from Burnaby, but there is heavy traffic going there.

Additionally, when we went, there was tons of parking, but I can see that getting full.

*PAY FOR PARKING! THEY CHECK.

While my family was living in Vancouver BC, I flew up for this week (Thanksgiving week), but I had a sinus infection and had a constant fever. I felt like crap and was miserable. I had the shivers and all. I still made time to see this beach and hang with my family.

It was so cold, the pond there was frozen.

Bridal Veil Falls, Chilliwack BC 2015

On another weekend trip to Vancouver BC, I was able to explore more eastward towards Chilliwack.

I read about Bridal Veil Falls and had to see it.

Parking was outside the gates. It is winter and I guess the park isn’t “fully” open. People were still walking to the park and to the falls.

A good 15 minute hike and we got there.

It was pretty majestic. I ventured closer to video.

Harvey Creek, North Vancouver 2015

In 2015, my family was in staying in Vancouver BC, while I stayed in the bay area and worked.

Almost every other weekend, I went to Vancouver BC. These short incursions were somewhat of a get away from my work and school life.

They were short trips, but I always tried to make the most of them, exploring BC as much as possible.

Going along the Sea to Sky Highway, we came up Lion’s Bay, I pulled over and next to us was Harvey Creek.

It was tranquil at that point and being with my family was what made me happy.
